- List of awareness measures foreseen in our country on 5 June 2025
- 1. Make level crossings at 73, 313, and 937 (2nd km of Sonsgolon) equipped with PASH barriers and under crossing attendant control.
2. Equip crossings with surveillance cameras in accordance with MNS-6423:2019 standard:
– Main line at 97th km crossing
– Orkhontuul 81st km crossing
3. Upgrade the following crossings as model crossings:
– Zuunkharaa–Unegt 233 km, 7th switch
– Bagakhangai–Baganuur 3rd km, 1st switch
– Oortsog–Enger–Lun 621st km, 3rd switch
– Doloodiin Khundii–Ulaan-Uul 985th km, 7th switch
– Salkhit–Khutul 29th km, 7th switch
4. Collaborate with youth content creators on social media.
5. Promote cartoon and animal character figures illustrating railway professions and operations.
6. Equip the crossing at the Goods Depot at Tolgoit Station with MP signals by December 18, 2024, as per commission decision.
7. In honor of ""International Level Crossing Awareness Day,"" carry out various awareness and promotional activities within UBTZ, including:
– Location-specific awareness videos
– Guest participation on TV programs
– Radio announcements
8. Organize a safety awareness day at the Children’s Railway in Darkhan city.
9. Design and approve poster and leaflet templates for International Level Crossing Awareness Day and allocate materials for other promotions.
10. In cooperation with the Ministry of Road and Transport (MRT), conduct certification of main and branch line public crossings through a joint commission.
11. Work with local authorities to create multi-level crossings at high-risk sites and close low-traffic crossings.
12. Organize a joint forum on ""Reducing Risk at Railway Crossings"" with MRT, the Prosecutor’s Office for Transport, the Traffic Police, other railways, and the Road Development Agency.
RAILWAY LEVEL CROSSING SAFETY AWARENESS

- Approach: Combine creative and analytical marketing to reach the public
- 1. Social Media Campaigns:
- Produce and share posts, reels, videos, animated safety clips, and music videos. Collaborate with influencers to promote crossing safety. Share real accident footage as warnings.
- 2. Public Relations:
- Share timely news via TV and news websites. Regularly broadcast PSAs on TV, including banners and voiceover ads.
- 3. Print Advertising:
- Distribute printed materials through UBTZ stations and branches. Create puzzles, stickers, children’s activity books, brochures, and handouts for International Level Crossing Awareness Day.
- 4. FM Radio:
- Partner with high-listenership FM stations and interviews during prime time. Run safety messages repeatedly and share voice announcements.
- 5. Event Campaigns:
- Host a safety forum ahead of the awareness day. Use mascot characters from UBTZ for promotions during public events."
